We stopped at Etretat, a pretty little place on the Normany coast.

This part of the eroded cliff is called the Falaise d'Aval, compared by the author Guy de Maupassant to an elephant dipping its trunk into the sea.

We couldn't stay at ground level for long. The tour guide persuaded us to do some climbing. The view was worth it.
